David Ajose CEO of Exeid, the rapidly expanding boutique commercial property consultancy commented on the recent changes in empty rates liability and the further impact of interest rates on the Commercial Property Market.  "We expect interest rates to firm up in Q3 this year adding more pressure on any highly geared property investments. This combined with empty  rates liability charges will mean that the commercial property market will be under pressure for the next two years at least. PARKING LEICESTER - Contract parking in Leicester can be a sore subject but surprisingly Leicester is much better serviced than its near neighbour and rival, Nottingham  in this regard. Unlike in Nottingham, businesses and employees in Leicester are not likely to be squeezed by the taxman via the Work Place Parking Levy,  well not for the moment that is. On the other hand, we won’t benefit from the fantastic tram network that is developing in Nottingham and which is to be the main beneficiary of the millions raised by the new tax.
