We speak to her to find out the secrets of her success… Tell us a bit about your background in your chosen industry? I became an Estate Agent 20 years ago, in property sales, enjoying the fruits of a property boom on 2 occasions, then experiencing the incredible lows when the bottom dropped out of the housing market. I turned to Lettings 10 years ago, and spent most of that time working for local agents in Derby, but had a yearning to own my own Lettings company where customer service was at the heart, I felt utterly…

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the closure of Friar Gate Bridge. We investigated this historic landmark next to our office space…

Derby, Exeid News, Friar Gate, Office space, Uncategorized, Vintage Offices
There has been a significant amount of press coverage regarding the Friar Gate Bridge recently. Reports have suggested that it's intended for renovations and restorations, other articles state it’s likely to be left alone. What’s the big deal about this bridge? Why is it special? At one time, Friar Gate Station was the main rail station within Derby, and it served the commuting public between 1978 to 1964. The Friar Gate Bridge, which is seen easily from the Exeid 32 Friar Gate offices, is now the only reminders of the former station. The double, cast-iron bridge was made for the Great Northern Railway by Andrew Handyside around 1876. If you were to catch a train Eastbound from the Friar Gate station, you would travel through Darley Park, Breadsall, West Hallam and onto Nottingham via the…

[caption id="attachment_2575" align="alignleft" width="300"] Richard Priestley with Facilities Manager, Huw.[/caption] Refurbishment has begun on the Rushcliffe Civic Centre (Pavilion Rd, West Bridgford), as part of a wider plan to encourage economic growth to the area. Exeid, a Nottingham-based commercial property consultancy, signed a contract with Rushcliffe Borough Council in February, giving Exeid permission to refurbish and fill the floors which were in a state of disuse. The two floors have been rebranded as the Rushcliffe Technology and Enterprise Centre (RTEC) and will be utilised with buzzing tech and business companies. Both Rushcliffe Borough Council and Exeid are hoping that RTEC will showcase the Rushcliffe location as a wise investment for business, with access to many small companies offering different services and networks, as well as a range of shops and…

Exciting update for Rushcliffe Technology and Enterprise Centre under development (RTEC) (pictures)

Nottingham, Parking, Rushcliffe, Rushcliffe Technology and Enterprise Centre, serviced office space, TechCityNotts
Exeid and Rushcliffe Borough Council are excited to announce that renovations of the Rushcliffe Technology and Enterprise Centre (RTEC) have officially started. Today, we ventured down to West Bridgford to take a first look at the skeleton of what will become a 12,000 sq.ft centre of excellence for developing businesses of all sizes. Donning fluorescent Exeid jackets, we entered the site with camera in hand, to capture the first moments of this project’s new life. The interior which had made up the previous office had been ripped out, leaving the bare structure, upon which to build new serviced offices. From first impression, it was easy to see that the space was long overdue for updating, with seventies office furniture all ready to be discarded, and pale pink paint on every wall. There…

Refurbished London Office space sees increase in demand, with Skyscraper dominance coming to an end in 2014.

Exeid News, Farringdon, Landlords, London, Office space, serviced office space
The beautiful and historic city of London has, for years, been dominated by a forest of skyscrapers for large corporations, shadowing over smaller companies with a seemingly subjugating intent. However, the recent cluster of high-rise London office buildings that have been completed are set to be some of the last to be built in the city under current planning rules. In 2011, a statement was published by the City of London’s Chief Planning Officer, Peter Rees, revealing that there are no more plans to build high-rise towers in the Square Mile, telling The Independent “It will be an end of an era. The development is moving toward refurbishments of older buildings and, after the current cluster of skyscrapers, we will not see new ones planned.” Now, in 2014, Mr. Rees…
