Managing Director, Cornelius Muyunda, talks us through Realign UK and the financial services in Nottingham that they can provide.
Who are Realign UK and where did they come from?
Realign UK was established in 2009 and we are a committed and passionate team providing financial services in Nottingham such as accounting, book-keeping and payroll to small businesses, primarily. The other side of Realign UK is a consultancy that helps train Directors of small businesses in the financial skills/awareness needed to effectively run an enterprise. We analyse existing business problems and develop plans to help organisations improve their performance. We can also help Directors write their business plan, think about location, source finance and take their business from an idea to fruition. We aim to ensure that every business that comes to us gets to where they want to go, with our guidance.
What has been your biggest success with Realign UK?
Because Realign UK take such an active role in the planning of new businesses, and growing enterprises alongside our clients, our greatest success – or the most rewarding element, I should say – is seeing them develop and succeed. It is not simply about accountancy, we are a client focused organisation and assessing the objectives of a client, and helping them achieve them, is success for everyone involved. The consultancy that we can offer provides so much motivation for small business owners who may not have confidence in their existing skills, so seeing a Director go from uncertainty to taking command of the growth of their enterprise is very rewarding for all of us here at Realign UK. As far as our experienced accountancy division is concerned, we always do our upmost to ensure a reliable and accurate service and getting a good job done well – 100% of the time – is our greatest success.
What struggles have Realign UK encountered along the way and how did you overcome these?
Patience is how we have overcome any bumps along the road – just like any new project, cash flow can become an issue but keeping your ultimate goals in mind you will learn what you are capable of achieving. You realise that the process of maintaining a profitable business will take time and that sticking with it is important.
Why did you choose Exeid’s Litehouse building as the headquarters for Realign UK?
Location was an important factor for us when looking for an office, the Litehouse is easy to get to, whether you are walking or in the car, and there is parking for our clients. The convenience is second to none and the service is excellent.
What is your motto in business – if you had to pinpoint one mantra that has helped you grow Realign UK, what would it be?
